Amazing comprehensive compendium of any & all cupping education you could think of. I must add a caveat to my review. The print is rather light which makes it more difficult to read. A darker shade of ink would be much, much appreciated. (publisher, take note!) My eyes are a bit older so maybe this is why it's harder for me. I would have deducted a star if not for such amazing content. Way to go Shannon! Your work has always been amazing. I have had the pleasure of meeting this amazing young lady & have been on her treatment table. a few times as well as referring clients to her who loved her cupping work. This review is my own & unsolicited. I have not seen or spoken with Shannon in a few years. Another Therapist had told me Shannon had written a book on cupping, So I had to get a copy & check it out. Any therapist interested in cupping would be well advised to get this book, & turn up the lights when they read it.

Purchased this to go along with a Hansol cupping set, as I planned to work on myself at home. I found the book informative. I especially enjoyed the don't cup these areas pages.

Whether you are looking for self care advice or a way to further your own education on the practice of alternative medicine, this book on cupping is a great resource! It gets a bit repititive, but the science and information is solid.

I ordered this at the same time I ordered my cupping set. The book was very informative and very user friendly. I really like how it gave you good how to information in the beginning. And then broke the rest of the chapters down to find stuff fast

With the help of friends, strangers and the Prince Regent with some heroics by St. John . . .well, I’m sure you can guess the eventual outcome. What’s fun, however, is how they get to the very satisfying finale.This is book 17 of His Majesty’s Hounds series and, according to the author, the last book in the series, I’m sorry to say. I love the way characters from one book in the series will make an appearance in another book, sometimes playing a major role, sometimes just “stopping by.” Gives me an excuse to reread previous books in the series.

I enjoyed this book immensely. Sin and Marions story will keep you turning the pages and cheering for both of them. I highly recommend this book. I also recommend the other books in this series.I received this book for an honest review.

Sorry to see this series end. Have enjoyed all of the stories. This one had a nice blend of romance and problems to overcome. Look forward to reading more from this author.

This is an outstanding ending to one of my favorite series. Just like the previous 16 books, I was captivated from the very first words. The fun of it is for new readers of Arietta Richmond, you can start with any book in the series, even this one. The characters are intertwined, yet each book can stand on its own.This is Sin and Marion's story. Circumstances are not what they seem in society for both of them. The first scene draws you in and in a short period of time, you will understand the challenges both characters are facing. Thankfully, good friends and carefully place rumors will help.I encourage you to read all of Arietta's books. While this series has ended, I am confident that she has many more books planned for us readers in the future.

This was a very good and intense story if you put yourself into Marion mind how would you deal with the man who was involved with his husband’s death was back in your life? Then Drummond is back and has to face the ton and his quilt. This story is full of danger, secrets, gossip and along with intrigue and perhaps forgiveness. It was an excellent read and this series has been a wonderful journey. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is the last of a well done series, although it can be read alone. The characters are well developed and the heroine and hero are likeable from the beginning. It leaves you wanting to stay with the families you have grown to care about. Definitely a good, clean read.

The American church structure as we have known it is dead. We either have mega-churches that no one can duplicate (but many try to) or we have small churches with mainly white-haired congregations in debt for their lovely buildings. Where will they be in 20 years? This book offers some incredible ways to get back to what really matters and can help move us out into the world where we must go and shine the light of Christ!

I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, Cole raises some important questions, which have contributed to my understanding of how far the church has come from its roots. I am still working through the implications of some of these questions.On the other hand, I found it very difficult to get through some of the chapters in which Cole seems to ramble away from his main topic or repeat himself unnecessarily. Some of his claims seemed unfounded, and it seemed that he spent much of the book defending the why and the way he and his church have done things. I wish he had focused more on the substance of his ideas and less on justifying his reasoning and practice.In he end, I agree with some of Cole's conclusions and disagree with others, but I'll stick to reviewing the book itself here. ;)

Neil Cole provides excellent guidance for recovering the passion for being the church and for expanding the impact of the Gospel, not in traditional church settings, but in small life transformation groups, that rapidly expand through multiplication. Much like human cell division, LTGs are designed to multiply, not just grow bigger. If you want to revitalize your congregation, this is a good place to start looking for a new way forward.

Neil Cole writes carefully and completely about the changes going on around the world as people look for more of what God really promised, the loving community of faith that lives the grace, truth and witness Jesus commanded and prayed for. In this book you won't get an ideology thrown at you you will get a report of what is going on around the world and what the real principles are for really living the life that the church was supposed to be. If you are feeling, like millions are, that building programs, talking heads and worship shows are not what you really want or wanted for your life in Christ then you need to read this book. You will read more about the priesthood of all believers, the caring community and the witnessing community. You can begin to experience the life Jesus really wanted you to have and you can only truly receive it, give it and live it in a true community. Check it out.

Lately I have been yearning for a simpler church life, more in line with the early, New Testament church. My close friend says we need to go forward, not back. This book has an answer to both. Church 3.0 is going forward to a new model that takes the best of the old 1.0 version and updates it for our postmodern world.

I picked up this book because my father-in-law grew up in Diamond Hill in the early 1960s. The author appears to be rather well-off compared to most in the squatter village since he lived in a home made of brick and that had a modern toilet. Conversely, most did not even have running water.Regardless of his position economically, the author described the locations and characters of Diamond Hill with entertaining detail. The different aspects of life were nicely summed up in each chapter. It was a very enlightening peek at the way of life in the area.

As someone who lived for five years in Kowloon City and went to the schools mentioned in DIAMOND HILL, I found Feng Chi-shun's memoir impossible to put down. He reproduced in print a genuine Chinese community formed by "squatters" who migrated to the British colony of Hong Kong in the 1950s, and thus preserved a portrait of a fascinating subculture no "scholar" of China would have paid much attention to. Diamond Hill, and the areas around the old Kai Tak Airport, is of course largely changed, now with "an MTR station," "government housing estates and private housing blocks for the middle class" as well as "a big shopping center complex called Hollywood Plaza (p. 185)." But Feng Chi-shun's book makes a little-known and fascinating past in a then little-known and fascinating part of Hong Kong live again for me--and hopefully for many others interested in every aspect of Chinese culture in changing times.

My childhood friend called me last night and mentioned about this book. our families lived and we grew up there for those years.. We were refugees and move there in the early 50s till early 60s,we lived at KA WAH TERRACE. Remember it well, Kai Tak airport , Lion Rock, etc..Feng mentioned about my older brother in it, so I am curious to read that soon. I personally dont recall Feng,maybe?? Perhaps all the folks that lived there and are in the US or Canada, can have a reunion, it will be a thriller to say the least, any takers?? Rating it 3 stars for now..

I ordered two of these, for my husband and for me, as we embarked on a glycemic load eating plan. The size is nice and it seems to be comprehensive. Unfortunately, they are not what I was looking for and I'm returning them.First of all, the introduction states that all items listed are given in 100 gram values. Do you know how much an average orange weighs in grams? How about a cup of milk? Saltines? Got your scale and calculator?It was probably amended from a glycemic index to be used to determine glycemic load. This is probably a more accurate way describing quantities, but not a realistic way in the world that I live in. Not so much a problem with meats, but very confusing with carbohydrates. It allows for comparisons but not an effective way to track glycemic load.

I was looking for a good glycemic load guide for low-carb/fasting/keto lifestyle. This is definitely not it. It is woefully inadequate. While giving a whole list of cereal brands it doesn't give you a simple reading for a basic bread like Ezekiel 4:9 bread. Several cakes are listed but not even something as simple as chocolate. There is no listing in the dairy section for cream or half n' half, and one of the most basic beans in the world, black beans, is not even listed. I probably won't send it back because the shipping would take up most of what I paid for it, but if you think you will get an adequate GL guide here, you will not.

I am in total agreement with the other reviewers who gave this book a single star. Wish I could go lower, because the obviously incorrect information may well harm someone's health- or at least sabotage their effort to establish a healthy diet- if they follow the authors advice. There are many confusing and contradictory statements such as on page 13 in discussing: What is a Portion she states: " A small glass or carton of fruit juice. This only counts as one portion per day NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU DRINK because the fiber is removed in the process of making juice". ARE YOU SERIOUS???On page 20 she states that you should " base your meals on starchy foods" and "these foods should make up about one third of your daily intake." AGAIN, ARE YOU SERIOUS???Not sure what kind of "doctor" she is, but not a medical doctor. (significant clue is the "Dr." BEFORE her name, not her name followed by an MD or DO designation).Save your money and don't buy this book. I highly recommend you purchase "THE GLYCEMIC LOAD DIET COOKBOOK" BY ROB THOMPSON, MD. and Dana Carpenter. Well worth the money and based on documented research.

I bought this as a companion to the GL Load index diet book. While it is far more extensive than what the book provides, it does not go far enough. Eight hundred (800) foods sounds like a lot but it is not. However, it was enough to give me ideas as to what has a high GL and what does not. If you read the GL diet book and "The New Glucose Revolution" you will find that it is hard to really measure the load because of the testing methods. Perhaps that is why they can list only 800 foods.I like the book because the lay out is excellent - large type face, easy to read columns, simple explanations about the GL without over doing it.I rated it as a 3 because of the limitations. However, I would recommend it as a handy reference, especially if you can get it inexpensively through Amazon.

I thought it would be a handy complement to Dr. Rob Thompson's books, but it isn't. Buy his books instead.

I am extremely interested in the Glycemic Load principle, and have been looking for a pocket guide with the amounts of each food. This booklet is USELESS. I am surprised that a publisher even allowed her to put it on the market!!! I see she lived in the UK, but she gives such a crazy list of foods. My family just moved back from living in the UK, and they laughed at it. Strange foods in it, but nothing much for normal stuff. i.e. Beets. She has the glycemic load for fresh beets, but no mention of canned beets. How many of us cook raw beets for a salad????

Good general information and generic information in the beginning about portion size however when you go to the listings it doesn't list the Portion size associated to it's calculations for its calories, fat, carbs, GL/GI. Very disappointing.

I fully believe this GL book will be of greater use. It gives the food counts on regular every day food items. On the other hand, the GI book will be of equal importance when my glucose level drops too much. Thanks for the great book!
