I was glad he gave Savannah a place to escape.I loved the gradual relationship between the two and how they each learned to rely on the other and trust.The ending was so heartbreaking and OMG I can't even explain what my heart went through. I couldn't get enough of this book! I didn't put it down in the first read. Not one minute. I ended up finishing books 2 and 3 within the next two days. If you like mystery, suspense and a little bit of darkness....J.L. Drake will be your new best friend. This author has such a unique style of writing that you don't see often. She has a way of immersing you in the scenes and situations without being too wordy. Her description and detail is so intense you can actually see the movie playing out in your mind. And INTENSE is the best way to describe this book. You think you see the next thing coming and then the author takes a sharp left. This book made my stomach lurch in angst, made my face ugly cry and had me laughing out loud many times over. By the time I was finished I felt like Savi and Cole were the best friends I always wanted and Blackstone is brotherhood I wished I had.
