Nate does not disguise this book as a magical tome that grants its readers the ability to solve any river rescue scenario. Rather, he directly speaks to his readers, urging them to recognize the high risks of running rivers and the necessity of honing our river rescue "tools" through frequent practice. This book provides great refreshers on techniques and mechanical systems that any seasoned boater will appreciate. At the same time, the NOLS River Rescue Guide serves new paddlers with a superb introduction to the realm of river rescue.

Just in time for the holidays, I got this book. I love Paula Deen's show and her cookbooks always have amazingly simple dishes to prepare.The author's personal stories and remembrances are what really made this book for me. As a girl from the south, these recipes are like things your Mammaw and Mama used to cook up for the family for a special occasion.These recipes aren't necessarily things that you would eat in your everyday meals; they're for celebrations. If you're looking for a Southerner to eat tofu and bean sprouts for Thanksgiving, you've got it all wrong and would do better with buying another book. I prefer my tofu marinated in soy sauce and stir fried with pea pods and broccoli, but I'd rather have a turkey and all the trimmins for Thanksgiving.The recipe book, and I hesitate to call it that because it's more of an entertaining book, has wonderful meal planning recipes and ideas for celebrating with your family & friends. Although I'd have loved more entertaining ideas, maybe next time, Paula?

All of Paula Deen's cookbooks are excellent, but this one is especially nice in that the recipes are organized by holiday/event. So, if you want traditional recipes associated with Thanksgiving, you just turn to the Thanksgiving chapter and everything is there!

Gave it as a combo-gift. My sister seemed to love it. She kinda skipped out on Dirty Santa after she opened up this one. So was too busy reading the books. Only contribution after that was the occasional "I am going to have to try that" or "Ahh, that sounds good" from her corner of the room.

I recieved the Paula Deen Celebrates Cookbook the day before it was due. I absolutely love her cookbooks. The recipes are easy to follow, and ususally made with ingredients that most people have in their kitchens. I've already made a few, like the Humingbird Cake, which was a hit with my husband and grandchildren.

Paula never ceases to amaze me with her cookbooks!

Just love this book! Paula shares great recipes with photos and family stories. This book is very entertaining, informative and a good read even if you don't feel like cooking. YOU ARE GREAT PAULA!

I purchased two copies of this book ~ one for myself and one for a gift. Not only is this an excellent cookbook, but it's especially appropriate for another good cook who's celebrating a special occasion. The "Best Wishes" included in the title make it a GREAT Birthday gift for a friend! The recipes are delicious, but simple enough to prepare for any special occasion. I will buy more of these for future gifts spreading "Best Wishes" to all my favorite cooks!

The Aslan Academic Planner is great for students and anyone with a busy schedule.The planner starts with a variety of spreads at the beginning followed by monthly and weekly spreads. The yearly calendar has very small boxes, but it’s great for writing down all your assignment, exams, projects, etc. and having them all on one page. The monthly spread is very spacious and allows for maximum planning for the month. The weekly spread has two different lists, one with check marks and one with just lines, that’s great for prioritizing your busy day. I like to have a to do list and an assignments list.The planner itself has a beautiful cover. It’s printed on high quality card stock with a protective layer on top, so you don’t have to worry about damaging the cover. When you open the planner and fold down the cover, it doesn’t damage the binding as well.The pages are slightly rough, but you can still easily write and do brush lettering on it. Depending on what kind of pens and/or markers you use, ghosting and bleeding can happen. You can also see some ghosting from the printed spreads on the pages itself.Overall, for the price you are paying, it’s a good planner, and you are getting a planner that is functional and great for staying organized. I would recommend this planner for those that need an affordable planner.

This planner is just perfect for students; cheap, light and extremely useful. It'd fit perfectly into your backpack or handbag. There is plenty of space to write daily short notes, appointments, assignments and reminders. There is also space to write about the yearly events in school or college. This is perfect for any student striving for high efficiency and productivity by keeping track of their schedule. As a bonus, there are spaces where you can write your goals and focus for the start of every month. At the last few pages are where you can write all your friends', family's and acquaintances' birthdays. Plus, the cover art is super pretty! For a less than $10 schedule planner, I'd say this a pretty good deal. As a student, keeping a proper schedule is a good and productive method to stay on track, which definitely helps with your academic progress in the long-run. Writing in a planner doesn't even take more than an hour of your time, so start getting productive today!

This cute planner comes with so many calendars, it would be impossible for you to miss out on things! It is beautifully made and I can tell that the brand really put a lot of thought in making sure that they produce a product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. There’s a 2-page calendar for Cctober-December and I find that to be really convenient since you can mark all the important dates throughout the semester and look at them in a glance. Even in the age of Google Calendars, I think that having a physical planner is more convenient and personal compared to digital ones. For every month there’s a spread for goals and plans for the month, and that small touch of personalization is what makes me prefer having a physical planner over simply digital ones. I do wish that they would include more graphics on the pages since they are pretty plain, but I guess they’re just giving me a chance to doodle on the pages myself!

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much with this, but I was really surprised! It was a really nice price, and is highly functional! I picked this one because I loved the cover, and it is a really nice size. It has a monthly view, a monthly goals page, Email and passwords page. It also has plenty of room for daily checklists and notes. I actually use this as a Homeschool Planner for my son and it is perfect!

I really love the layout and the simplicity of this planner. I was currently using an Erin Condren, but it was just too big for taking with me every day. This one is perfect size and thickness. My only complaints are the paper quality has a lot of ghosting from my pens, and the cover could be a bit more sturdy. I anticipate that the corners will be a little worn by the end of the year.

This planner is amazing, and it is cheaper than my older planner. The cover is so beautiful and very attractive. I am attracted to this planner because the design is different from other planner and I never seen a planner with this beautiful design. I also love that this planner has monthly goals page that will help me to see what I should expect for that month in one page. It has monthly focus, two goals for that whole month and goals for 10th, 20th and 30th day of the month so that I can monitor my goals if it is achieved or not. I like the size because it is not too small to write on and will fit in my schoolbag without crushing it for being smaller than my other books. The monthly pages also big enough that I can easily write my plan on the boxes without worrying that I’m taking too much space.

I did not expect much from this planner because it is so much cheaper than the usual planner you can get from the market but IT IS GOOD! I put my old planner away after I got this. The cover is beautiful and feels so nice when you touch it. The thing I like the most about this planner is that it is so simple and the monthly planner is so big! I had problem fitting a few things into a box (day) with my previous planner but I have no problem with this at all! Its simplicity makes it looks clean and you can easily decorate it as much as you like. This is a planner for everyone. It is nice and simple for those who do not want to spend time decorating their planner and also for those who want to put a lot of colors in their planners. You can do whatever you want with this planner.

Introduction to Face Morphology The practice of face morphology has changed my life. For more than three decades, I have had the distinct privilege of evaluating patients using the ancient, sacred art of face morphology, or face reading, as it is often called. This book reveals the ancient understanding of the secrets of the soul held within the structure of the face. My intention in compiling and sharing this information is that it further enables us to have an objective awareness of our own personality, inclinations, and tendencies, both biological and psychological. As this is a sacred art, care must be given when reading an individual. It is important to get the permission of the individual before reading and reporting what you see in his or her morphology. During the course of my practice I’ve received permission from my patients to read their face, usually as part of my initial examination. Here is a surprising example of what one might discover using face morphology. It comes from the very early days in my face morphology career. One day a new patient walks into my office. I greet her and bring her in for an examination. I ask her if I have permission to read her face, since it would help to explain a bit more about her problem. I also explain to her a little bit about face morphology. She heartily gives me permission to read her face, which most patients do, since everyone is interested in learning about themselves. Within a few minutes, this is what comes blurting out of my mouth, "Who did you murder?" I had taken a leap in trusting what the face was telling me, but I did not expect the answer that she gave. She said, “My husband.” And of course, as I could see that she was in my office and not in prison, the judge deemed it to be self-defense. From that point forward, I began to see the rich efficacy of face reading. I’ve experienced countless other revelations with patients over the years which have allowed me to help them deepen their understanding of themselves.Chapter 1. Introduction to the Four Temperaments The study of face morphology largely refers to the bony structure that is inherited. When discussing face morphology, we refer to temperament, which is read in layers, beginning with the profile.There are four temperaments defined in face morphology: two are considered active (the Bilious and the Sanguine) and two are considered passive (the Nervous and the Lymphatic).In this chapter, we examine the four temperaments, each of which is analogous to one of the faces of the four creatures on each of the four posts in Ezekiel’s vision. It bears repeating that the Bilious represents the angel/man, the Nervous the eagle, the Sanguine the lion, and the Lymphatic the ox. In the pages ahead, short lists introduce each of the four temperaments. In these lists I mean to highlight some of the foremost features of people with that particular temperament. In my discussion, I also describe some of the common medical problems of each temperament and how the problems are most effectively treated. I hasten to add, however, that we are, each of us, all four temperaments, even though we are predominantly one and have the others as, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary qualities. Further, we all live by a 24 hour clock, and there are times in the day, which are defined as quaternary, whereby a person can have the most benefit from their own temperament. This relates to each temperament and the particular time that would be best for each of them. We begin with the Bilious temperament, which is the only temperament that shares two layers of the four dermal derivations. The Bilious type derives from the chordoblast (a combination of mesodermal and ectodermal layers) and the ectoblast. As with all the temperaments, I open with brief notes on major characteristics of the Bilious type to familiarize the reader with the particular quarter of the day, season, and disposition that is most relevant to the personality and activity of this type. The Bilious Profile When reading the Bilious profile from the left side as is the convention, notice that the forehead can be pouched forward like the shape of a reverse question mark. The range from an extreme pouch, to a lesser pouch, all the way to a straight line from the nasal bridge to the hairline is included in the Bilious profile. The jaw line (the outline of the mandible from the ear to the chin) comes down about two-thirds of the way to the chin; and the back of the head is like a bowling ball.The Bilious have an active, intellectual, objective outlook. They seek the actual and the concrete, and are effective gatherers of knowledge. They make things happen. They are constructors. They also may be willing to stretch the truth to serve their plan. The Bilious are a chordoblastic, medium-built people. They have black complected hair on their head, and the palms of their hands are often dark. From the back of the head they tend to look like a bowling ball. They have short compact muscles and need to be physical. They are very impatient with pain, and they tend to have more bone problems than do the other three temperaments. The Bilious types prefer cold, wet environments. They do not like to rest. They have stamina and like to keep going. They are excellent marathon runners. They need chlorophyll for oxygenation, and they need ozone. They have a great ability to utilize oxygen and burn it. Bilious thinking is not abstract. It is concrete, constructive, coordinated, controlled, organized, and they like things to be done to their exact wishes.The Bilious temperament likes a challenge and enjoys being victorious. Due to their strong will, sometimes they can exact claims and power over other people, which can be difficult in relationships with people of a more passive type.

This book adds an original perspective to Military life that one living outside of the military would not necessarily think about. For example, it discusses a child of a military person as a "Brat" and explains what that means. It's somewhat wordy, and if you plan on reading it to younger elementary children, you may have to choose only specific pages to read. That said, it's a good addition to the library overall.

I purchased this book for my step-son who is turning 6 this month. His father is in the military and is currently deployed for a year. I couldn't have asked for a better book to send him. It is a large sized book with full color illustrations and AMAZING writing. Each letter represents an aspect of military life, and there are columns along the side that details what each aspect is really about. For example " Rise and Shine for the letter R, early every day. R is the sound of "Reveille, heard from miles away", on the side column on this page it talks about why the horn was used as communication for soldiers and goes on to talk about the tune Reveille, what it means, and why it is used. It talks about other tunes used throughout the day and why.Readers are given inside information on all aspects of the military. Any child of the military can relate to everything presented in this fantastic book. Having a family member in the military is something to be proud of and this book shows all the reasons why. I was so impressed with this book, I bought another copy for myself! I will most certainly be picking up Devin Scillian's other books!

This book has amazing full-page illustrations on every page for every letter of the alphabet. Each letter of the alphabet has a little poem to explain various military terms. Then, the sidebar for each letter contains additional information. For example the letter "A" page: the main text reads,"Give me an A for Army, and an A for Air Force, too.An A for all the Armed Services behind the red, white, and blue.They stand at attention, tall and proud, all impeccably dressed.An A for the American Armed Forces, an A for the world's very best."The sidebar begins:"The Armed Services of the United States protect our nation, its people, and its ideals. There are five branches that make up the United States military.The U.S. Army is the main ground force for the United States. It's the largest and oldest branch of the service, founded in 1775...."There are 4 more paragraphs on the other branches of the military for the letter A.I highly recommend this book! My boys love it! (and I do, too!)

I was so happy to know it wasnt going to be a complicated book, I liked the details on the side of the page describing what I just read. Even my 3 year old was interested in it.

This book is a must have for the military family with children. My kids 6 and 7 have enjoyed how it breaks down some of the military vocabulary so children know what it means.

What a fantastic book! As a Naval officer and Mom I especially appreciate the depiction of women in the military.

A book that every military family with young children needs in their home. The author clarifies some of the "code" of the military life and celebrates the true heroes -- the moms and dads serving in the military. At the same time, the author is sensitive to the feelings of the children and how they feel when their parents are deployed. Well-written!

I love this book! Great for any branch of military service, it does a very good job portraying the military life style. The drawings are well done, and fairly accurate. It's hard to find illustrations that properly portray military themes and pay attention to the details. Attention to detail is important to any service member and this book pays attention to the details. In one illustration, paratroopers are lined up for an airborne operations, getting ready to board an aircraft== I've stood in a similar position many times before and I can almost feel the weight of the parachute and heat coming off the tarmac when I look at this picture! I can't read this to my little girl and explain what mommy and daddy do.I have given this book at least 6 times to fellow military families for births of new military "brats" and have several more on order. It's received rave reviews from everyone.The main space on the page contains an illustration and brief explanation for each letter, perfect for the younger kids. The edges of the pages have more details on that letter's subject making this a book that will grow with the child and I would imagine provide some learning material for adults as well.I purchased another book in this series and found it much less detailed than this one. My only complaint with this book is the letter X which protrays a service member in the Exchange in just a T-shirt, without her DCU (Desert Camoflage Uniform) top on. This service member is out of uniform. (again, a small detail that only a service member or military family member would notice)HIGHLY recommend! I just wish they had a board book version for the little ones to enjoy

I have all of the authors books and i love them all. He says what others think only with an artist flair.

When a friend told me she needed to de-stress by coloring cuss words because she was dealing with some major family problems - I immediately started researching - the reviews on this sold this for me - after she showed it to another friend who I also wanted to order a coloring book for cause that's her new passion -she wanted it and I ordered her one - I asked my son if he wanted to try this new coloring phase that's spreading across the country while he is visiting from college, we can color while sitting on sun porch and chatting- he said "um, don't know" I showed him this book and he was like "OMG! GET ME THAT ONE!!" (laughing) Hey if it makes you laugh which relaxes you - I'm all for itThis is a fun idea - he is a creative artist like my other boys and this is not stressful - you do not feel like you have to do it a certain way so no anxiety over 'how it should be done' - he had fun picking different colors - - If I were a mom of boys who did not talk much - I'd find this a great idea for seeing how much more comes out of the conversations during the coloring/talking process. My boys talk about everything with me so I won't know on this but I wanted to see if it was an interest for him since he is going in to a major hard-core college and cussing is an outlet for kids - this makes them laugh - while he was coloring - he mentioned I use this word often in my live gaming - I said - just hold the pic up to the camera every time someone annoys you (besides cussing) See if they start laughing - be funny to see how many young ones say "where'd you get that?! I want one!"Coloring does get them talking - he wanted to go buy more colors while working on this photo I am sharing with you.

 I spent a couple hours reading all the reviews for all the different adult swear word coloring books. Out of all of them I chose this one because my expectations were high due to all the reviews, and..... I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Love this book. I am new to the adult coloring trend. I have been finding it very relaxing. There are multiple reasons I like this swear word coloring book out of all of them I have seen and used. 1. I love that there are 40 different swear words in this book. Some books ave 10 or 20 but that's it. Not with this book... 40.... yep 40 different words!! 2. I love that each of the 40 different words are done in black and white on one page and in grey scale on the 2nd page. So you actually get 80 pages to color and each swear words gets a totally different look depending on if you color the black and white page or the grey scale page. 3. The quality of the paper is awesome. I will say I am new to this and have only done a couple in this book and have notice the ink of the design has bled a bit. That is the only thing I did NOT like about this book. Overall I would recommend this book if are looking for a great quality swear word coloring book. This book is THE BOMB!!

Awesome heavyweight paper oh, I wish it was perforated to tear each page out to color. I've got several of these framed on my wall and looking forward to coloring more as I work in a call center and these pages express the things I wish I could say out loud to my jerk callers! Jkjk, but mostly seriously!

I only recently started this whole "adult coloring" thing, so when I decided to get coloring books I took a long time deciding what to get. I went with two books, and this was one of them. Although the pages DO NOT come out (they are not perforated) I still really like it. I love that the pictures are pretty even though the words are swear words. Some of the words I had never even heard, and I am married to a military man! I have been able to remove the pages VERY CAREFULLY using an exacto knife, but I advise extreme caution if you decide to do this. I do this so that I can color to the very edge of the pages. If you are looking for a coloring book that has nice pictures, but will help release some of that anger . . . I recommend this one!

I've been wanting a swear coloring book for awhile, so when I bought this one I was eagerly waiting for it. Once I received it, I knew I was going to have a lot of fun. The designs are great and the words are beautifully written. I know I am going to love the contrast between a beautifully colored page with a harsh word scrawled across.I would have given this book 5 stars, however there is something that seemed off to me. On the first page of the book it says that you get 4 bonus pages to color. I took this to mean 4 new designs. However once I got the email with the bonus pages, it was 4 of the same pages that are already in the book. So not new designs, just some bonus pages of the same designs already paid for in the book. I do think bonus pages should mean new designs, since it is fairly easy to copy pages from the book with a printer to make as many "bonus" pages as you want.

This coloring book is everything I never knew I needed. I have seen adult coloring books floating around for quite a while and read how they've helped people center themselves and deal with anxiety, depression, stress, etc. As somebody who is a soldier in that war, I scoffed. "No way." I thought. But then, I saw this. How do you not buy this? It's funny, it's unique, and it's cheap. I figured I'd take a shot.You guys, I'm about to be dramatic. THIS CHANGED ME. I am a kid all over again and I'll be damned if my coloring pages don't make it up on the fridge right next to my son's.I absolutely love that the pages are black. It adds an aesthetic contrast that is extremely appealing. (plus, if I don't always make it in the lines after that second glass of wine, who's gonna know?) The pages are nice and thick and the images themselves are detailed and time consuming, which I really enjoy. It's really nice to take a break from the day and just spend 15-20 minutes doing something so simple and so calming. Really glad I decided to get in on this trend.
