Arrived in excellent condition. Covers the subject of P S 6.0 as ordinary classroom training would. The book was still in the original wrapper and the disc was new in the sealed back flap of the book, as advertised. Shipping was rapid; package did arrive a little early. Always happy about that. Have used the training manual for a couple of weeks. I still have a lot to learn so can't think of anything negative, so far. Adobe sometimes seems to think one has a foundation in the subject so repetition is necessary for those of us who are new to their software. Patience is a real virtue here.

I don't think there is a 5 star book on Photoshop. That could be because no one book could possibly do justice to the whole of Photoshop so the books have to pick and choose where to put emphasis. I teach at a community college in an area different from this. I am taking the Photoshop course there and the book we are using is packed with so much information that I've found it worthless as a starting text, although now that I am getting the hang of Photoshop even it is useful. I now own 5 Photoshop books and they all do different things. This one's plusses are, in order: the images on the CD-ROM to do your lessons with that are in the book; the simple, straight forward style on an unjumbled, uncrowded page format and a logical, orderly way of proceeding and learning. Photoshop is considered a really tough program so I am not surprised that one book does not do it all. I would say if you are going to get more than one book, make this one of them. If you are only going to buy one Photoshop book, I honestly don't know what to recommend to you. It might be better to tackle the lessons in online tutorials in that case. The Photoshop Magazine is also excellent and better than all the books combined because it is chocked full of all color visual tutorials, every single page.

I have been using the PhotoShop tutorial, Classroom in a Book, as either a required or recommended textbook since version three. Most of my college students can not stand to read the Adobe manuals so this publication functions in its place along with me as an instructor. However, without a PhotoShop user manual or an instructor a beginner could easily become confused unless they were already familiar with an advanced level computer program. The book's enclose CD is superior to online tutorials that accompany many similar tutorial publications. The instructions are clear for both Mac and PC users. The inherent problem with all books in this beginning category is that they don't promote thinking that is outside of the box unless one simultaneously experiments (and gets into trouble) using the commands and operations with their own images. Regrettably, since version 5.5 incorporated ImageReady and its web features the breath of the book devoted to advanced-beginner usage has shrunk. Hence, the book no longer sufficiently prepares the student for the advanced-intermediate user level for which the majority of PhotoShop publications are written.

Although I am pretty proficient with computers, I am not a designer, yet I wanted to use Photoshop for simple Image manipulation, enhancement, etc. When I got Photoshop I was at first intimidated. Sure, I could figure out the VERY, VERY basic stuff, but not much more.Well, this book changes everything. A huge amount of information is conveyed in an easy-to-learn format with clear examples and set-by-step instruction. Everything from the work environment, tools, and palettes , selections, layers, masks, painting, photo retouching etc. It's awesome!If you own or are getting Photoshop 6, this is a REQUIRED purchase to go along with it! You'll be glad you did!

This book assumes you are new to image editing/Design Layout software and are new to graphic design type work.The tutorials are excellent. The Lessons are carefully planned and work great.Of all the computer books I have purchased through Amazon, this one has the best cd files ever. The lessons make sense and the examples are excellent.If you are new to image editing/layout software and want to really learn what Photoshop is and what it can do without becoming entirely overwhelmed then buy this book.Just Buy it!

This book may not be for a new person just starting to learn Adobe Photoshop 6.0. The software was published before Windows 7, and the all the commands in the book may not function in windows 7. But overall the book has allot of good information to use Photoshop 6.0. Keep in mind this is an older program, which I just happen to have in my CD collection and did not want to spent $ on the newest and greatest version. It works for me making Hot Sauce labels.

Well what can I say!! I've been using Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 for quite awhile now. After going through the interactive lessons, I can create some things that I never dreamed of creating before. The only drawback applies to newbies, as you need to know certain particulars, and features to be effective with this training tool. I will say this though, if all you want is to edit photographs ... pass on PhotoShop 6.0 as there are lesser programs at a fraction of the cost such as Adobe Home Edition, and ACDSee that will pretty much cover all the areas in photo editing, although not as completely as PhotoShop 6.0. I Hope this review was helpful to you.

I was a little more apprehensive with this one because he is a little younger. Though, I am so used to this brand now, I don’t really want to deviate. So many coloring books are illustrated half-heartedly and so when you find a good one it is best to stick with it. The designs are detailed enough that I am hoping that it will hold his interest. He is quite energetic so I doubt it will hold for it very long but it should be enough that he will get some enjoyment out of it.

 Beautiful designs and plenty of them! Mandalas, animals, unicorns, oh my!My 7-year-old had to get in on the action right away and did the giraffe. I think it took me about 45 minutes to do the elephant, so you probably have a good month of coloring here, even using markers instead of colored pencils. I got three at once, and now each of us have one to color when it is too rainy outside to play.We are so happy with Pat Woods' books, and totally worth the price paid!

Based on the many good reviews I read on Amazon, I am disappointed with the quality of this book. The paper quality is low, and the images and print are poor. I've colored a couple of pictures so far, and my markers bleed through the paper. Also, when I use Prismacolor Premier soft-core pencils, the image lines smear when using a blending pencil. This book is not nearly as nice as many of my other coloring books. I won't be buying any more books from this publisher.

There are plenty of designs in the stress relieving color for anyone to choose from. The pictures on the pages vary in size, there are some that take up the whole page and some that are just about a half page to color. Although the pages are not perforated I used a pair of scissors to cut the page out of the book. This book offers a variety of animals, nature, and mandalas, so this coloring book will keep anyone busy for a long while! Also the price of this book is great for how many color pages it offers. I can’t wait to continue color this book through the month!

This adult coloring book is huge and includes 90 unique designs, I absolutely love it!! There is a wide range of images and they are all very beautiful. Some designs have very intricate details and they allow you to focus on your coloring and it helps you to de-stress. I love all of the designs in this book and there is a great variety of designs so that you have a lot to choose from, depending on what you are in the mood for. My daughter also loves this coloring book and uses it when she is having anxiety. It helps her a lot, and we both enjoy this book greatly.

This is a great book with a variety of pictures and designs to color. There are animals and mandalas that range in complexity from simple to very detailed. Many of the pictures are unicorns, so if you are a fan of these creatures this is definitely the book for you.I used pens to color and was pleased to see that the paper was thick so that there wasn't any bleeding through. I like the fact that the pictures aren't overwhelming in their details but still interesting to work on. With so many options, this book will keep me busy for a while.

Pat Woods is at the top of her game with this new book. The designs are fresh and easy to follow and customize. I always look forward to getting her new offerings. The book arrived in the mail the day that I was having some girlfriends over so we made a party of it. With 90 unique designs in a wide variety of subjects, each of us was able to choose a few pages to color while enjoying our wine and snacks. It was such a hit with my friends that we have decided to do it on a monthly basis.

Chilton will not let you down. It's handy to have mainly for the torque specs. My complaint about this one is it isn't focused so much on the 240SX. I use it for torque spec reference though so it is no big issue. The 240sx Factory Service Manual (FSM) is easy enough to find for free if you know how to use a search engine. But still this Chilton is invaluable to have beside you when your hands are greasy.

Good Book, I couldn't put it down; I read it from cover to cover.... Nah, not really, LOLIt arrived in good condition and price was reasonable.

This manual is highly recommended along with youtube, when it comes to repairing your car.

Put the wrong fluid in my clutch resevoir an needed directions on how to replace the parts I had damaged.This manual was EXACTLY what I needed to complete the repairs. Very thorough instructions and pictures. Saved me hundreds in mechanic repair costs!

i am a beginning diyer. simply put, what i already know is in the book, what i don't is missing. it's ok to have it as a reference, but dont expect too much.ps. if you are looking for the 240sx, chances are that you can download a "factory service manual" somewhere on the web, maybe free. that's much better than this one.

Knowing that this book had previously been used in a mechanics garage I was a bit hesitant to buy, but the price was to good to pass up so I gave it a shot. I was very pleased with the condition of the book. It was exactly as the description stated and was well worth every dollar spent. I would not only buy this book again but I will likely be ordering from the distributor again.
